Artist's Comments

This idea kept getting stuck in my head, so I had to draw it. I decided not to color this one, so I wouldn't ruin it completely.

OK, people, this's Ash Reinhardt (right), :icontyshea: 's character from her comic Salad Days. The guy left is Julian Sagona, my OC for the series. (Here's his profile [link] and profile drawing [link])

Ash, being a vampire, often feeds off other students at Wormwood High for lunch. I could imagine she might consider shy, slender Julian a good prey. She however finds out that it's never smart to attack a person that's nearly twice your size (not very clear on the picture, but Ash's 5'2' or 1.58m, Julian is 6' or 1.82m), has a tail with poisonous spikes, three rows of teeth and is a stealth hunter himself with keen hearing and sense of smell.

Considering the fact Julian is a rather calm, gentle soul, I don't think he'd hurt her (in fact, I even doubt that he's very upset by being attacked by Ash). But he'll surely pick her up, bring her to his height and make very clear he doesn't appreciate being preyed upon. And Ash? Well, her thoughts on being in this situation are pretty self-explanitory! =P

I apologize to :icontyshea: for messing up on Ash: I can't draw very well, sorry. ;) And no, I DON'T suggest a pairing! (not that I think people find Julian interesting enough to pair up, but I just wanna make sure! :))

Sorry for the long story. :icontyshea: owns Salad Days and Ash. I own Julian Sagona, the manticore! ;)

Thanks. I made it for the Salad Days project by Tyshea. Glad you find it funny, by the way! ;)
